Drone filming and FPV cinematography
An aerial perspective for your story
Natives on Screen provides drone cinematography for television, events, tourism, culture, property, sport and promotional content. Based in Rotorua, the Māori-owned creative agency combines UAV operations with film and broadcast production experience.
The starting point is the story. Whether the aerial footage is part of a documentary, an event film or a campaign, discuss the purpose of the sequence and how it will connect with the rest of your production.
Production experience on the ground and in the sky
Technical lead George Jordan brings more than two decades of live broadcast and production experience alongside UAV and FPV drone work. The company’s existing portfolio spans cultural storytelling, television and major event coverage.
Natives on Screen describes its drone operation as CAA Part 102 certificated, with DJI and FPV systems. Site conditions and the requirements of each shoot need to be discussed during planning; a creative concept is the beginning of that conversation.
Briefing a drone shoot
When making an enquiry, include your proposed location, shoot date, intended audience and delivery format. Explain whether you need standalone aerial footage or a wider production involving interviews, cameras, editing or live coverage.
Tell the team about access arrangements, stakeholders and any cultural context that should shape the work. For iwi and community storytelling, relationships and representation belong at the centre of the brief.
